It is tempting to think that Trump lies so easily and often about such demonstrably false things that he must be “demented” or “senile.” I fear it is worse - that he has lied his entire life so often and about everything that he can no longer distinguish between truth and lies, or no longer cares to. Either way we are in deep trouble.

And his lifelong expectations of expecting, often successfully, that others will bail him out are front and center now.

Could someone check and see if Congress still has a pulse?

Trump believes the lies he speaks. When a person (T) believes the lies they tell others they are indeed dangerous. Trump created the bubble he lives in with his distorted view of reality. Not only does T live in a bubble but he brought sycophants (yes people) into the bubble with him. This ensures that his world will not have or tolerate discord and challenges.

Also it was necessary that 90% of his cabinet members be inexperienced but savage.

Imagine visiting Trump’s mind for one hour, however there are no guarantees that you will remain sane.

The G.O.A.T. Grifter is acting out his greatest role on the world stage and the audience (us) are held captive and captivated by the fast flowing inconsistencies and unstable soliloquies.

I believe we are long past the point where we might differentiate between truths and untruths spoken by President Trump. He is in his own world, believing he is an expert in everything. His words are spoken to impress, truth and facts be damned. And as Mr. Dickerson has pointed out in another posting, there is no one in his administration who dares even suggest that he allow them to review his posts and statements for accuracy. Whether he has just run off the road of truth and no one will direct him back, or whether there is a component of dementia, we are indeed in significant trouble.

And those lack of guard rails have cost more innocent lives, both American and other nationalities, and will continue to increase until Congress either remembers their oaths or we fire them all.

We hired Congresspersons with our votes and there is nothing standing in the way of voters firing them via the ballot box. Also I am all for a bill limiting Congresspersons time in office using an age limit. I suggest 72.

We are living in a reality TV show, scripted for a short attention span with predictable commercial breaks, and a simple to grasp good-vs-evil story. Just like with TV, reality isn’t that simple. It’s beyond time for Americans to grasp the difference, we are reaping what we have sown for decades of neglected educational mandates.

Trump is a fabulist, narcissist and shockingly weak-minded person. Those horrible traits compound when he is under stress. He is incapable of accepting responsibility for his endless idiotic decisions, and somehow he cannot accept or even understand when others despise him.

He’s old and he appears to be in poor physical and mental health. I believe him to be in cognitive decline, as do many others. He’s a problem that may solve itself before anyone can solve it.

The larger problem is the Republican Party, an entity so weak, corrupt and inhumane that it allowed Trump to become president twice.

The Republican Party needs to be dismantled and buried in 100’s of separate graves so that the machine that allowed Trump to rise to power can never be started again for the next disgusting white supremacist that hopes to take on his mantel.

An existential threat to us all.

It goes without saying that many current or former politicians, including presidents, may say something in private they would not 'own' in public, but it is clear that trump lives in some delusional world where he thinks he can constantly spin facts even if they change from one minute to the next. Less likely many would hold these conversations with Trump since he cannot even hold state secrets close to the vest. He doesn't even respect private health issues that should not be blabbed publicly.

He is always trying to sell somebody something. He’ll say whatever it takes to make the sale
