Vital conversations you had. We still desire journalists who do not seek to be the story themselves or become opinionated celebrities. Oh, and don’t start every story with “Breaking news….”
A few months ago I added my voice to those encouraging you to do a weekly compendium of news, but I would like to turn around and argue the other side. I found it very hard to listen to the whole podcast (it cut into my Political Gabfest window), and also I found that events move so fast these days that I didn’t want to spend attention on ancient history like last Monday. I found this weeks summary of the various things you did and wrote to be much better, and I could dig deeper on each topic. So please change my vote to “no” on a lengthy weekly run-down, and to “yes” on a summary of what you’ve been doing, thinking, and writing.
Sounds like a wonderfully educational, thought-stimulating and enlightening week! Our new “best and brightest” to begin the process of restoring trustworthy independent journalism. We cannot depend on AI to help us in this matter. Welcome home!

Stack the week is a trust builder I think.
These are incredible, thanks John! Aren’t you supposed to be on vacation? :)
Sounds like a very busy and productive week. Thanks as always for sharing. Keep up the good work which to me is always enlightening and welcomed.
You sure hang out with some amazing people!
