I km wondering whether Justice Kavanaugh is creating a jurisprudence trail that would grease the skids to be the next chief justice. The logic of his opinion would not get a passing grade in Lawrence Tribe’s classes on the constitution.
I can’t imagine that ever happening. Surely he can grasp that his cushy ‘new-ish’ job could be at risk from future laws that would allow repercussions from a Democratic Congress who will hopefully codify actual restrictions on a rogue court? Methinks he just has no moral compass.
And speaking of deliberation, and Congressional ‘leadership’, and Constitutional requirements, do we have any real idea of how many exorbitant government contracts he has handed out as gifts to friends and family? The few stories we get are so buried in the overall chaos.
I mean, when this court talks about flouting of the Constitution…the same court that gave Trump criminal immunity…basically overall immunity & cover to everything this administration has done along with a cowardly GOP. As the old saying goes, closing the barn doors after the cows have escaped.

As you so clearly explain it, as obvious as the President’s overreach was (and is), it is abhorrent that three justices were not phased by that.
