Helpful summary lifting thought provoking issues above the cacophony of voices out there. Regarding the bow tie feature…like anytime you directly engage us with questions or ironies we may not see . Thank you for the time and wisdom spent in selecting items
There is no better summary of the week, with great writing and detail, than The Stack. In times filled with hourly news and chaos, this is such a great way to remind us of the week passed. Thank you John. Amazing work…
Another excellent thought-provoking summary of important events and issues of the past week. I would say that tying the bow regarding the gap between the stated and actual realities at the end of the day is a good idea. Of course, the gap of most concern is that between what our President tells us and what is actually the truth. Too often that gap is infinite.
I think it was G.B. Shaw who, when asked to define Hell, said it was a place where the police are Germans, the politicians are French, and the cooks are British. I might have added that the journalists are all MAGA. Thanks for the well-placed Dad Jokes (your original ones) and the insightful commentary. (By the way, I think you meant to say Pope Leo when you said Francis.) Listening and reading along is time well spent. Thanks for your stacking of the week!
What a thorough review of the week, given with depth, facts, humor and wisdom. I would do, what I would consider, a valiant effort on the philosophy exam. Effort yes, passing no! Thank you, John. You are appreciated.
Thanks for making my Friday by the recounting important news and interesting global information of the past week. (Poured libations for the trees & know I would fail the philosophy exam.)
Stack the Week (an experiment) continues to impress with its ambition, connecting the dots of various stories and helping the reader-listener make sense of what sometimes feels like a fire hose of information. Because it is such a bouillon, I think the audience benefits from both the teaser AND the bow tie. It’s kind of like a marble staircase, but i envision a plaster wall, with both a skim coat, and later a smooth finish. I appreciate the thought that goes into each week, complete with dad jokes!
I'm confused about the Habeus Corpus 'investigation' since all one needs do is look at their actions. Clearly the 'suspension' was activated. Why not investigate, better yet charge Miller for exactly what he has ordered to be done.

Great content but just listening to your voice, like Obama’s, is a reminder that we were once better than this and will be again. 🙏

Thank you!
Another journalistic tour de force with some mirth on the side. These days we need all the mirth we can get.
Bravo. Great STW though reality can be pretty exhausting these days as I suspect you well know.
"Meta said bans risk pushing teenagers toward unregulated platforms with fewer built-in protections."
Well, that's rich coming from the godfather of abusive social media practices.
