Watergate as a 12 hour story? As a young social studies teacher during those days… those current events stories from newspapers … with speculation of what was to happen held those teens with focus for months! Sad commentary if Vance’s comments are valid. Thoughtful stack the week once again. Thanks… take the week off. You earned it.
He is not wrong but he fails to see how bad this administration looks, ie that their criminal, corrupt behavior is so derelict and so ongoing that Watergate would have been a 12 hr story at best. Not sure what he was trying to accomplish with such a stupid statement.
Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed Stack the Week, as well as Stack the Clay and Stack the Papyrus. I look forward to the commentary and the flow. Do you try to read it all in a single effort? That would tax one's voice like performing a one man show. Considering the content, you manage not to sound depressed. Dad jokes are welcome here. Enjoy your break over the 4th of July! Thank you.
During my first read-through of this week's Stack, I found your thoughtful content extremely helpful in putting the week's major stories to rest. How satisfying to read the work of someone who builds solid paragraphs out of cogent sentences. Everyone in your businesses should be so clear, and have the same humor!
Thank you once again for this delicious offering. As much as I look forward to Stack the Week, you and your throngs of staffers deserve a week off. Happy Independence Day!
Well looky here. After much debate about the (then) 79 yr old, high profile official getting 'compassionate use' approval from Eli Lilly re their unapproved glp-1 type drug (i believe it was?), this little coincidence hits the press.

What a shame. Stephen Colbert would not need any writers, Trump and JD Vance would provide his monologue on a daily basis.
John Thank you for giving America the new straight, something no longer available at 60 minutes or most of the tiffany network.
