A few times, I have sprung out of bed, dressed quickly, grabbed a mug of hot tea and fresh biscuit, and dashed out on my sunlit deck to meet the day... Only then do I actually wake up, adjust my cannula for my supplemental O2, and totter on down to take my morning's 11 medications, etc. That dream is so real and so comforting, it makes me feel whole again and hopeful again. For a few seconds or minutes, I believe it. Reality sometimes sucks, but I can remember the dream and how it feels. tRump is a bad person and I think he knows it and that he leaves victims in his wake. He needs his proof that he is a victim to live with himself. The reaver must shrive himself.
Self-medicated I would say as a former cancer patient. Nothing they give you via IV infusion makes you hallucinate to my knowledge (I had some of the hardest drugs to tolerate). The last place I would want to visit after another round of chemo would be a Waffle House. Hell, I would have been grateful to have been teleported from the sofa to a hot shower for a few months.
Apparently his god is a big fan of unhealthy food with a soupcon of oxy and/or alcohol.
And it is because of that machine I came to believe Iran when it was reported by us that they said they were not negotiating and Trump said they were. I believed our adversary over our president - ludicrous in any other time but now. Plato said the right question is usually more important than the answer. I think Trump has been asking the wrong questions about Iran. What questions need to be asked?
A small one is was Trump at the Supreme Court hearing to intimidate or manipulate public sentiment for the case he holds dear on the voting rights act?
Not only believe our adversary over our president but rooting for them in many ways. Unheard of in my life but here we are, waiting for someone to bring the madness to an end. Clearly Congress isn't interested.
I’ve seen other reports about Phillips’ claim of being teleported (by God?) to the Waffle House - but have yet to see one that says what he did there - did he order breakfast? Pay with a credit card? Was he teleported back home, or did he have to call a Lyft? Perhaps his boss could help him create a more-complete myth with the fuller story.
Even before the 2016 election Trump was alleging the results would be “rigged” setting, the stage for a strategy if he lost. He won, but then lost in 2020 and revived the “rigged” allegation without any basis in fact. And yes, to this day he continues to show his obsession with rewriting history with lies. Pardon the January 6th rioters to convince people they are patriots fighting to negate election results that were fraudulent. Order prosecutions of anyone who dared investigate him, hoping convictions would prove justice was weaponized against him. Investigate election results yet again, searching for non-existent fraud, hoping evidence in his favor will be found or created. Finally, continue to declare he won in 2020 and use the false allegation of election fraud to justify an urgent need for restrictive changes in the election process. When Trump won in 2024 the appropriate thing to do would have been to close the book on the past elections and move forward. But we know that is impossible for him. He may have convinced himself that he won in 2020 and has been a victim all along, but in reality his lies are actually the albatross around his neck that is becoming heavier each day.
John, as you said, the Trump years have produced a lot of easily falsifiable claims. Unfortunately, those that need to see the truth will never acknowledge it. The lies will continue to stoke fear, which is exactly what this corrupt administration wants.
John, your clarity of thought and your ability to communicate are greatly appreciated. Thank you again and again.
This may be the clearest statement of what is underlying all rational people’s fears of what is happening to our country.

Thank you as ever for your concise clarification of the deluded potus' tds.
Waffle House, breakfast theatre for the dazed and confused

This is the best, clearest, description of what’s happening that I’ve read. Thank you.
good explanation about why we can’t trust basically anything Trump says
John, as you said, the Trump years have produced a lot of easily falsifiable claims. Unfortunately, those that need to see the truth will never acknowledge it. The lies will continue to stoke fear, which is exactly what this corrupt administration wants.
