I remember the excitement and fun surrounding the 200th anniversary celebration. Fifty years later we have an egotistical, bloated, dangerous man in the WH. There is no longer 3 equal branches of gov't. When will the madness end?
What strikes me here is the language. 'Our' pool. Are these not also 'our' skyscrapers? In making this 'distinction' he also shows he is not 'for' america at large, but interested only in what he can 'own' or manipulate. His attempt to own and control what belongs to America is the theft of what belongs to us—and it's shameful. But we already know that, don't we. This exhibit only illustrates how tragically small this man is. And that he's totally lost is f'in mind.

I had the opportunity to view the reflection pool first hand a few years back while on a night time tour of the monuments in DC. It was breath taking. What it wasn't to this person was broken. I wonder if the color ordered was called Mara Largo blue?
By now we know this second administration is all about his ego gone wild. Ego without good council or restraint is what we have now. I'm reminded of the story of the Kings New Cloths and wonder what happened to the boy who shouted to the crowd that the king is naked?

The Bicentennial Wagon Train came through my town. The citizens came out to cheer and welcome the pioneers. It was a moving tribute to American determination.
