Greetings, John Dickerson subscribers. I’m heading home from vacation in Ireland. It’s likely that I’ll be back to my previous posting schedule now that I’ve stopped fooling around with the no internet connection, dwindling peat supplies, and communing with late night cows.

First, an apology for the confusion some of you experienced with Navel Gazing: Season Two. Consuming the content is confusing enough; the payment scheme shouldn’t be.

Here’s the fix: If you are a paid subscriber to this Substack, you now have access to Navel Gazing: Season Two. Season One remains free.

If you’re a paid subscriber and don’t have access to Season Two, please let me know. I’m adding subscribers manually, so the process may be imperfect.

The brief explanation for how we got here: Slate published the first season several years ago in the Political Gabfest feed. That meant it automatically reached existing Gabfest listeners, though it’s a very different kind of show. I didn’t want to repeat that experience with Season Two, so I published it myself as a stand-alone product. My attempt to avoid one kind of confusion created another—including for me.
