So very well written. And so very sad that those committing the horrible, destructive, hateful, immoral (I could go on) things that are being done, are just permitted to carry on. God help us….

Since I’ve never been interviewed for satisfaction data, I always wonder about its reporting. What would happen, would it matter if we all registered as independents? Would party leaders pay closer attention or not?

No legal consequences and no financial consequences. If anything just the opposite. He is robbing us blind and will never spend a day in prison.

Meanwhile, the president continues to grift, to sue, to lie, to tweet nonsense, to, in general, embarrass and delegitimize the USA throughout the world while his party in Congress enables him and his supporters make excuses. He is an existential threat, and the elections are not just around the corner.

I absolutely agree. I really am bewildered by the loyalty (or fear) that so many republicans have for Trump. Just doesn’t make sense…

If the democrats somehow pull off winning a number of seats in November, the dictator in chief will cry foul. He will yell from the rooftops the election was rigged. There is zero consequences to his appalling behavior.

Apathy is the result of having no choice. The undercurrent of your thesis is that we have allowed the parties themselves to select our choices. That duopoly needs to end before we can make real progress.
