It's great that our son can read but it was almost too much to handle when he read this handwritten prayer from our wedding that hangs on our bedroom wall:
"May the gift of the Holy Spirit abide with you both and light your way: teach you all things, and enable you to have a right judgment in all things: give you utterance, and grant that you each understand what the other says: comfort you, and enable you to see visions and dream dreams."
The prayer was written by Ernest Mead, who compiled it from a variety of traditional prayers. He was one of my wife's professors at school with whom I became friends through her. He is one of the greatest men I have ever met in all of the collection of great and famous men I've met.
